Edge Factor and NEMA partner to build the workforce pipeline

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 17, 2022 -  In 2022, the National Electrical Manufacturers’ Association (NEMA) is partnering with Edge Factor to equip NEMA’s member organizations across North America with tools to inspire, engage, and connect with their future workforce. This strategic Workforce Development initiative will provide NEMA and their members with cinematic media and tools to inspire and build a skilled workforce pipeline - today, tomorrow, and for years to come.

At the heart of this partnership, NEMA’s network of companies will be provided access to e-learning resources, 4 specific toolkits, and Company Profiles to promote electrical manufacturing careers and raise awareness of who they are and what they do.

“We are excited to partner with Edge Factor to support our members’ workforce development efforts and help them build a solid talent pipeline,” said Debra Phillips, NEMA President and CEO. “This partnership will help our members engage, attract, and retain the skilled talent they need to grow their business and ensure our industry continues to thrive.” Founded in 1926, NEMA represents nearly 325 electrical equipment and medical imaging manufacturers that make safe, reliable, and efficient products and systems. Their combined industries account for 370,000 American jobs in more than 6,100 facilities covering every state. These industries produce $130 billion in shipments and $38 billion in exports of electrical equipment and medical imaging technologies per year.

From January to December 2022, Edge Factor and partners that include NEMA, are launching 4 event toolkits for companies, schools, and workforce leaders to share and inspire students and job-seekers to launch career pathways! Each toolkit will be available for FREE for 3 months and will include videos such as Career Profiles, Soft Skills on-the-Job, virtual field trips, award winning edutainment films, and more. Families, students, and community members will be able to watch these videos in their homes, at live or virtual events, in presentations, over social media, in newsletters, and beyond.

NEMA member companies are invited to share the links to view the toolkits, and when possible, to host presentations on the opportunities they offer. Each toolkit includes promotional tools and practical “How To” Guides for companies, schools, and workforce leaders to host an engaging event, with checklists on everything they need to know on how to plan, promote, host and follow-up on engaging virtual or live events.
