On March 8, people around the world will celebrate International Women's Day and the accomplishments of women across social, economic, cultural, and political spheres. The first gathering of International Women’s Day happened in 1911. Over a century later, Edge Factor is providing innovative ways to virtually celebrate women and share a call to action to get involved in skilled trades. Offering extraordinary opportunities for women to launch rewarding careers, the skilled trades empower women to use their heads, hands, and technology to build and shape the future.
Edge Factor has filmed countless stories of women who have overcome obstacles with determination, relentlessly pursuing their dreams, and launching careers especially in the trades. Highlighting Agriculture, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Construction, Transportation, and many other industries. Edge Factor has produced hundreds of cinematic films, industry and career profiles, Virtual Workplace Experiences, and STEAM on-the-job videos that feature women and female leads. In March and April, Edge Factor is equipping schools, companies, and workforce development leaders with a free Skilled Trades Toolkit of resources to host engaging presentations and virtual events.
