ABB & Edge Factor parter to inspire the future workforce

As a leading technology company, ABB energizes the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future.  Edge Factor and  ABB are passionate about creating success together by bringing together resources, knowledge and passion to create more value for a better world.

ABB believes people are the most critical ingredient to long-term success. With a special focus on building relationships within ABB, as well as with customers and partners they collaborate and rely on the experience and expertise others have to offer. With this ABB is able to push the boundaries of technology to drive performance, shape new business models and find new ways of working that benefit their customers, partners and community.

Building a Better Tomorrow

ABB has partnered with  Edge Factor to provide tools to inspire, engage and connect with students and job-seekers preparing to launch rewarding careers. This partnership will help solve the challenges students face today to build a bright and successful future. Empowering students and job seekers to make a difference by contributing to a culture where ingenuity and innovation thrive.

ABB offers students and job-seekers the opportunity to put their learning into practice so they can gain experience toward rewarding careers. To help students prepare for the future they need hands-on experience, and transferable skills, ABB and Edge Factor equip students with tools to explore internships, apprenticeship opportunities and summer jobs.

“Edge Factor is proud to be linking arms with an organization that gets the big picture, but also the need to be in the trenches doing the hard work and heavy lifting needed to build the workforce pipeline,” said Jeremy Bout, President of Edge Factor. “We value the willingness of the ABB team to try new ideas together and look forward to seeing lives change through this renewed partnership.”

Making a Difference in Communities

Edge Factor uses the power of cinematic storytelling to take students and job-seekers on a journey from "I have no idea what I want to do with my life" to discovering industries, careers, CTE and postsecondary programs, Soft Skills, STEAM and local opportunities.  We have criss-crossed North America to produce thousands of videos and interactive activities that highlight every industry and deliver these tools through our platform. The people behind each company featured in Edge Factor videos have stories and career opportunities worth sharing.  Stories of real life people making a difference in their communities, who are building ecosystems and paving the way for the next generation of innovators, manufacturers and entrepreneurs.

This year, Edge Factor and partners that include ABB, are launching event toolkits for companies, schools, and workforce leaders to share and inspire students and job-seekers to launch career pathways! Each toolkit will be available for FREE for 3 months and will include videos such as Career Profiles, Soft Skills on-the-Job, virtual field trips, award winning edutainment films, and more. Families, students, and community members will be able to watch these videos in their homes, at live or virtual events, in presentations, over social media, in newsletters, and beyond.

Together, ABB  and Edge Factor understand the tremendous need to empower communities with tangible tools to build their workforce pipeline. With these toolkits and other components of this partnership, ABB and Edge Factor will engage families and job-seekers at home and online, reach educators, school counselors, and students in classrooms, and engage community members at events.

You are invited to spread the word and share the links to view the toolkits, and when possible, to host presentations on the opportunities available in your community. Each toolkit includes promotional tools and practical “How To” Guides for companies, schools, and workforce leaders to host an engaging event, with checklists on everything they need to know on how to plan, promote, host and follow-up on engaging virtual or live events.
