December 13, 2021 – The results are in! Edge Factor and our partners empowered thousands of Manufacturing Day events across North America with tools to inspire students and community members to explore careers in skilled trades and celebrate success stories of manufacturers with Edge Factor’s free Rock MFG Day toolkit. This toolkit was available in September & October for families, schools, companies, and workforce leaders to host events and share these multimedia tools online. Rock MFG DAY 2021 is officially closed for free members. It will continue to be available for Edge Factor’s Premium members, but is no longer available for free.
The Rock MFG Day toolkit received over 4000+ views and was accessed by over 1700 locations globally. School districts and individual schools used the tools in classrooms and in assemblies. With page views across 81 School Districts (representing hundreds of schools), 92 individual schools, 48 Postsecondary institutions, and 1388 families, students, and guests either hosting events and presentations, watching and/or sharing the media, this content was seen by tens of thousands of students, families and job-seekers.
In the US, 1198 events were hosted across 44 states and in Canada, 250 events were hosted across 8 provinces. Globally, 287 events were hosted across 13 countries. That is incredible events in only two months!
We want to take a minute to say a big thank you to our partners ABB, SME Education Foundation, Mastercam, NTMA/ AMPED, NIMS, PMA, CA-AME, myBlueprint, WiM, NCATC, and CME, for empowering communities with high impact, multimedia tools to celebrate stories of people who have launched rewarding careers in the manufacturing industry.
This free, turnkey toolkit equipped organizations to host virtual presentations and help students and job-seekers to discover industries, careers, STEAM on-the-job and soft skills.
It also included an inspiring, empowering Keynote Presentation by Edge Factor, Founder and Producer Jeremy Bout titled, Open Hands. Open Minds. In his keynote Jeremy empowers students to explore careers in manufacturing, “There are incredible manufacturing careers out there and manufacturing is a great vehicle to take your ideas and merge them with your hands to bring them to life. Manufacturing can turn your ideas into tangible items you can hold with your hands.”
To ensure school, workforce and industry leaders understood how to access and share this toolkit, we created "How To" Guides. These guides provided easy to use checklists for hosting a live or virtual event, a promotional kit with a customizable article, free images and social media captions.

Future Skills Toolkit: available for free in January - February 2022 - As students are choosing which programs to enroll in for the following year, Edge Factor’s Future Skills toolkit will promote and celebrate technical education programs and encourage students to get involved!
