Arizona Career Awareness Month

Arizona (September 25, 2024) - The Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has declared September as the official Career Awareness Month for the state of Arizona. In a recent Press Release, Governor Katie declared, "Arizona can be the best place in the country to live, work and raise a family. This starts with making sure our students have access to career awareness and exploration activities to prepare for higher education and career opportunities. Career Awareness Month is an opportunity for Arizona industry, education, and community leaders, along with Arizona families to advance Arizona students’ quality of life and help meet the state’s workforce needs.”

The Edge Factor team is delighted to see the importance of career awareness being recognized by Governor Hobbs and her team in Arizona. “Our team is laser focused on equipping educators and inspiring students with career exploration tools, so we love seeing directives like this, from the top, that align with that mission,” said Larissa Hofman, Vice President of Edge Factor. “There are many pathways to success! We focus on helping students discover careers, build skills and connect to local opportunities, so they are better equipped to make the right choices on their purposeful life journey.”

The tools created by Edge Factor inspire K-12 students to explore, prepare, and connect on their career journey - whether they are in class, at home, or on-the-go. Edge Factor partners with school districts across Arizona to integrate careers into classrooms and events, guide students through personalized interest-assessment career journeys, and help them explore careers while developing industry-specific skills. With the largest known library of career multimedia, Edge Factor delivers thousands of videos, lesson plans for educators, interactive student activities and badges.
