March 7, 2022 – The results are in! Edge Factor and our partners successfully equipped thousands of educators, industry, and workforce leaders with high impact tools to celebrate technical education programs. The tools empowered students, jobseekers, and families to explore hands-on learning programs to gain real skills for the real world.
This toolkit was available in January and February 2022 for families, schools, companies, and workforce leaders to host events and share these multimedia tools online. The Future Skills Toolkit is officially closed for free members. It will continue to be available for Edge Factor’s Premium members, but is no longer available for free.
In less than two months, nearly 2300 locations utilized the plug and play e-learning and career exploration tools included in the Future Skills toolkit to inspire audiences around the globe! School districts and individual schools used the tools in classrooms and in assemblies. With page views across 117 School Districts (representing hundreds of schools), 1900+ individual schools, 94 Postsecondary institutions, and 44 Regional and National Service Providers either hosting events and presentations, watching and/or sharing the media, this content was seen by tens of thousands of students, families and job-seekers.
In the US, 1479 events were hosted across 46 states and in Canada, 490 events were hosted across 9 provinces. Globally, 327 events were hosted across 11 countries. That is an incredible number of events hosted live and virtually, over the course of only two months!
We want to take a minute to say a big thank you to our partners ABB, CME, NEMA, NTMA/ AMPED, NCATC and Skills Ontario, for empowering communities with high impact, multimedia tools to celebrate CTE Month and promote technical programs. This free, turnkey toolkit equipped organizations to host virtual presentations and help students and job-seekers to discover industries, careers, and the power of technical education programs.
It also included an inspiring, empowering Keynote Presentation by Edge Factor, Founder and Producer Jeremy Bout titled, Future Proof. In his Keynote, Jeremy empowers students to explore technical educator programs by showcasing stories of tech-ed graduates innovating to push back the edge of what's possible. “I am confident that technical education programs change lives. It infuses students with problem solving skills which makes them future proof.”
To ensure school, workforce and industry leaders understood how to access and share this toolkit, we created step by step "How To" Guides. These guides provided easy to use checklists for hosting a live or virtual event, a promotional kit with a customizable article, free images and social media captions.
