Edge Factor Talk

We are living in a tumultuous time. Schools are closed, events are cancelled, businesses are shutting their doors. People are working from home, parents are looking for ways to engage their kids, educators are searching for e-learning tools, companies and start-ups are clamoring for solutions, workers are being laid off… And needless to say, the global economy has seen better days.

It seems that none of us are immune to the impact that COVID-19 is having on our lives and in our communities.  During this time, it feels like everyone is asking the question, “What do I do now?” With no clear end in sight, where do we go from here?

In the midst of all of this, there is hope.  There are inspiring stories to be told. There are insights to be shared and lessons to be learned. We are all craving clarity, wisdom, and answers. In the words of one School District Superintendent, “We need people on our side who will come up with innovative ideas during this crazy time.”

Edge Factor is producing a new series that addresses current issues facing families, schools, businesses and community leaders.  This series, Edge Factor Talk features interviews with thought leaders delivering timely encouragement and insights to consider during this time.

Edge Factor Talk Episode 1: Featuring Montez King

The first Edge Factor Talk episode was filmed with Host and Founder Jeremy Bout, featuring guest Montez King from the White House Taskforce for Apprenticeship Expansion and Executive Director of NIMS. Together they discuss the idea that “Social Distancing doesn’t mean disengaging from your community.” This interview took place before travel restrictions were put into place across North America in response to COVID-19 pandemic.  This is the last in-person meeting Jeremy and Montez will have for possibly quite some time.
