Young learners can now explore a variety of community careers through Edge Factor's Career Profiles Jr. This series introduces children to different jobs in their community, such as firefighters, police officers, paramedics, teachers, chefs, construction workers, electricians, and more. Each career profile provides insights into what the day-to-day life of these professionals looks like and the tools and equipment they use. By learning about these diverse local careers, early learners can start to understand the wide range of opportunities available to them.

At Edge Factor, we believe it all begins with a great story. Through story-driven career media like Edge Factor's new series, Career Profiles Jr., even children can gain a deeper understanding of the role each job plays in their community.
As learners watch the series, they will meet people like Brett Moss, a Firefighter from Ontario, Canada. They will discover how Brett is a community helper who works to protect people and animals from fires and keep them safe. In another episode, they'll meet Social Worker Michelle, a caring helper dedicated to making a difference in people's lives. They'll discover how Michelle works with families, kids, hospitals, and schools to help people by listening to their stories and helping them solve problems.

Career Profiles Jr. is a spin-off from another Edge Factor original series, Career Profiles which has learners in Grades 9+ exploring the day-to-day processes, STEAM and Soft Skills used on the job. This new version of Career Profiles allows learners in Kindergarten to Grade 2+ to learn about the day-to-day tasks performed by professionals in various careers. They can explore the responsibilities of diverse professionals such as firefighters, police officers, paramedics, teachers, and more. Additionally, they can discover the tools and equipment used by these skilled trades professionals. By gaining knowledge about these day-to-day tasks and tools, they can develop a better understanding of what it takes to excel in these careers.
