Empowering educators to motivate students with hands-on career exploration in Construction, Automation, Culinary Arts, and Public Safety & Law Enforcement.
Today’s classrooms are evolving, and educators are looking for easy-to-use career-focused resources that inspire students and help prepare them for the future. The Arizona Business & Education Coalition (ABEC) has partnered with industry leaders in Automotive, Construction, Culinary Arts, and Public Safety and Law Enforcement to build robust curriculums for educators to teach middle and high school students about careers and skills in each industry. Edge Factor and ABEC are partnering together to enhance these curriculums with media, interactive activities, and lessons filled with real life stories and insights from Arizona professionals in these fields.
With these resources, educators can present and assign career exploration resources that bring careers and skills development to life, while aligning with Arizona state standards for schools. "Seeing someone share their journey and insights into their job helps show students what's possible and what it’s like to work in that environment. Whether it's building skyscrapers, whipping up gourmet dishes, or keeping our streets safe, real-world examples make learning exciting and meaningful. It helps students discover their path and think, “I’d like to do that!” That's how we turn curiosity into confidence and inspire purposeful life journeys, " said Larissa Hofman, Vice President, Edge Factor.
