Edge Factor is excited to announce our partnership with Mohawk College to showcase local, real-life stories of graduates in skilled trades and raise awareness of extraordinary career and training opportunities. Located in Hamilton, Ontario, Mohawk College is a fully accredited, leading postsecondary institution, offering 179 programs in areas such as engineering, business, health sciences, skilled trades and apprenticeships, and much more. More than 125,000 people have graduated from Mohawk since it was founded in 1967.
As part of this initiative, Edge Factor is producing 10 Career Profile videos featuring Mohawk College graduates working locally in the skilled trades. The local companies being featured in this series of videos include Stelco, Gerrie Electric, Walters Group, Eastgate Ford, Neelands, Heartwood Renovations, Car Star, Marshall Truck & Trailer Repair, and ArcelorMittal Dofasco.
In addition, Edge Factor is creating a 15 episode series of technology videos that highlight skilled trades tools and topics featuring Mohawk College’s faculty and programs. Among the many trades that will be featured are Plumbing, Welding and Fabrication, Carpentry, Millwright, and Robotics and Motion Control.

All of the videos and interactive activities Edge Factor creates are delivered through their membership-based, online platform. Businesses and educational members of Edge Factor are equipped with tools to add Profiles on their organization and the careers and training programs they offer, to customize the local experience. Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board, Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, and Mohawk College all have access to the platform and are implementing these tools in the classrooms and homes.
